• What is different when using permanent magnet synchronous motors and asynchronous induction motors?

Because the rotor of a permanent magnet synchronous motor has magnetic steel and is inherently magnetic, it is different from the copper (aluminum) rotor of an asynchronous induction motor. The following points should be noted when using a permanent magnet synchronous motor:

    1. During handling, storage and installation, it should be kept away from strong magnetic or high-temperature objects. People with pacemakers should stay away from the strong magnetic rotor.

    2. When assembling an asynchronous motor with the shaft, the rotor can generally be heated and then fitted onto the shaft. There are two ways to install a permanent magnet synchronous rotor: most manufacturers cool the shaft first, and then fit the rotor and shaft together. This installation method may, on the one hand, cause the shaft to expand after installation and damage the rotor; on the other hand, if the rotor and shaft need to be disassembled later, it is very inconvenient. The Swiss e+a synchronous rotor adopts a unique taper and sealing design and is assembled by hydraulic means. This not only avoids the hidden dangers caused by temperature differences, but also facilitates later disassembly and replacement.

    3. If a permanent magnet synchronous motor is equipped with an encoder, the phase angle between the motor and the encoder must be measured and set correctly; otherwise the system is prone to alarming.

    4. The back electromotive force of a permanent magnet synchronous motor is a very critical parameter. If the back EMF changes or is inaccurate, it will cause deviations in the motor's power/torque/current.

  • What is the difference between e+a high-speed stators and rotors and those of other brands?

e+a's high-speed stator and rotor advantages are very obvious, mainly reflected in the following points:

    1. e+a is one of the very few manufacturers in the world that specializes only in stators and rotors. We e+a only make stators and rotors; we do not make complete motors (motorized spindles), nor do we make drives or systems. Compared with manufacturers with many other product lines, we are more professional in stators and rotors.

    2. e+a has been specialized in the R&D and production of stators and rotors for nearly 50 years. At present, about 40,000 sets of various high-end stators and rotors are produced every year. For the vast majority of high-speed stators and rotors, especially for industries such as machine-tool motorized spindles and high-speed turbomachinery, the performance indicators we provide are all verified by practical application and recognized by users, and we guarantee they can be achieved, rather than merely being theoretical calculation data.

    3. Our biggest advantage is high speed and high power density. If customers have high requirements on speed and power-to-volume ratio, or have other strict requirements such as ultra-low temperature, vacuum and corrosion resistance, these are all our strengths.

    4. At present, our maximum speed can reach 500,000 rpm, rated power can reach 2,000 kW, and rated torque can reach 10,000 Nm.

  • The difference between asynchronous induction motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors

The main difference between an asynchronous induction motor and a permanent magnet synchronous motor lies in the rotor. The rotor of an asynchronous motor is generally a squirrel-cage rotor, which generates a magnetic field through the conducting cage made of copper, aluminum and other materials. In contrast, the rotor of a permanent magnet synchronous motor contains ready-made magnets inside, and has magnetism and a magnetic field even when the motor is not running.

In terms of performance, the permanent magnet synchronous motor has obvious advantages: smaller size, lower heat generation and more precise angular positioning. However, synchronous motors are relatively more expensive and place higher requirements on the user's installation and operation. In particular, high-power, high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motors often need an output reactor and precise matching of the frequency converter parameters.

  • What is your repair process?

Standard process: whole-machine inspection of the spindle upon arrival - disassembly of the spindle - comprehensive inspection - quotation - signing of the contract - repair - delivery. If the customer needs on-site disassembly and installation, we can also go to the customer's site to disassemble the spindle (remove the spindle from the equipment), repair it, and then reinstall it on the machine tool.

  • What is the difference between you and other domestic repair companies?

The spindle repair market is different from what it was more than ten years ago. Before 2010, very few companies in China could repair imported spindles and high-speed motors; now there are many. But as the number has grown, quality has become mixed. There are repair centers set up by foreign spindle manufacturers themselves, such as fischer and SKF, as well as private workshops that originally repaired ordinary motors and had little contact with imported spindles, but now also repair imported spindles. As a result, both repair quality and cost vary greatly! For the same European imported motorized spindle, a standard repair may cost several times more at a repair center established by a European spindle manufacturer than at a domestic private workshop. Of course, the quality also differs enormously.

Aixin Transmission is quite unique in the imported spindle/motor repair market. First, we started the agency sales and service of imported motorized spindles and related products in 2005, and began the repair business of imported spindles and motors in 2009. We are one of the earliest in China, with rich experience and resources. In addition, and most importantly, our repair center cooperates with the Swiss spindle manufacturer Renaud, which provides us with technical support. Therefore, we are a domestic enterprise that has been professionally engaged in imported spindle business for many years and has the background of a Swiss spindle manufacturer. In this way, we can ensure that repair quality reaches the level of European brand spindle manufacturers, while our cost, time and flexibility are clearly superior to foreign-funded enterprises.

  • The tool cannot be clamped tightly on an automatic tool change spindle. What causes this and how to

There are several possible reasons why the tool cannot be clamped tightly: first, wear of the draw claw (collet); second, the draw spring has been in service for a long time and is in poor condition; third, wear of the tool holder shank; and fourth, wear of the taper bore. If the draw claw, spring or tool holder shank is worn, the worn parts must be replaced with new ones. For a worn taper bore, the whole bore usually does not need to be replaced; instead it is reground. Depending on the specific taper type: for a 7:24 taper bore, in many cases the taper bore and the end face can be ground directly to meet the requirements. For a 1:10 taper bore, the taper bore and the end face are generally mated together, so it is necessary to grind first, then electroplate, and then grind again to the original size to restore the original performance of the spindle.
